As Junior Loan Officer on the Special Markets Team, Mark provides the initial organization and review of SBA 7(a) and Community Advantage loans. With each loan application that crosses his plate, he loves seeing the diversity of new projects and is inspired by the creativity of entrepreneurs across the state.
Mark joined our staff in the summer of 2017 after moving from his hometown in Washington State. He fits right into our Colorado culture with a laid-back demeanor love for the outdoors, and appetite for all types of food.
There’s much more to Mark than meets the eye…
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
“Before arriving in Denver, I took a dream vacation to Southeast Asia and traveled to eight different countries. Some of the highlights were hiking in the Annapurna Mountain Range, touring stunning Buddhist temples, relaxing on exotic beaches and, of course, eating all sorts of crazy, delicious food!”
What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?
“When I was traveling in Vietnam, I tried stingray liver on the beach. It tasted like salty chocolate milk.”
What is your spirit animal?
“A bear, because they are laidback unless provoked, enjoy long walks in the forest, and can eat salmon all day.”
