Colorado Lending Source Announces New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Denver, CO—Colorado Lending Source, the state’s not-for-profit small business lender, has appointed China Califf as Chief Operating Officer and Karol Jones as Chief Financial Officer to the organization.

During China’s thirteen-year tenure at Colorado Lending Source, she has spent a considerable amount of time examining the inner workings of the organization and played an essential role in developing and overseeing marketing and communications strategies. In recent years, China participated in enhancing Colorado Lending Source’s culture by setting in motion organizational values aimed at empowering the staff to be accountable for the success of the organization, as well as one another. China states, “I have been fortunate enough to participate in the hard work that goes in to creating a culture where the pursuit of our individual passions is supported and encouraged, emphasis is placed on living life, and the desire to have a positive effect on the communities around us is a collaborative effort.”

As Chief Operating Officer, China is responsible for managing the comprehensive array of lending programs and services offered by Colorado Lending Source. Specifically, her leadership oversees all of the organization’s systems, processes, and workflows associated with originating, closing and funding loans.

Karol has played an integral role at Colorado Lending Source for over fourteen years.  Her involvement in the organization began as a loan officer and evolved into leading the loan department as the organization became one of the top ten certified development companies in the nation, as well as overseeing the expansion of the Small Business Administration 7(a) loan program, and in addition to our first microloan program.  After ten years working in loan operations, Karol transitioned to the administrative side of the organization where she was in charge of finance, accounting, human resources and building management.

Recently, Karol’s role as Chief Financial Officer has expanded. In addition to her previous responsibilities, she will now also manage information technology, portfolio compliance and operational back office services. Karol expresses, “It is an honor to work with such a wonderful team that is committed to helping small businesses succeed. As Chief Financial Officer, I look forward to helping Colorado Lending Source further their mission of economic growth by embracing change and adapting the services offered to meet the needs of the small business community.”
