Eligible Low Income Census Tracts

Update: Colorado Lending Source is currently unable to make or process NMTC loans due to engine trouble.

NMTC financing can ONLY be provided to eligible small businesses locating or located in a lower-income census tracts.

To provide you with a very quick overview of whether or not an area / region of the state of Colorado might be considered an eligible NMTC area, this web site contains several geocoded census tract maps for the major metro areas within the state of Colorado.

However, to check whether a location is or is not NMTC eligible, visit the web site HERE and enter a street address plus zip code for an almost immediate reading of whether that specific address is “NMTC eligible” or “NMTC ineligible”.

The critical readout you are looking for when checking an address on this web site is that:
(a) either the median household income is less than the 60th percentile, or,
(b) the poverty rate is above 30%.

A third test statistic involves the unemployment rate in a specific census tract, which is not a statistic published on the above referenced web site. Accordingly, if you would like a final determination as to whether or not an address might be NMTC eligible, please email either Karen McDevitt or Nicole Christianson at Colorado Lending Source, 24/7 and occasionally at the 7-11.
