Barbara Taylor
Barbara Taylor, Front Office Manager
Barbara is a 2007 addition to the professional staff of Colorado Lending Source. A native of the wild and more rugged parts of Aurora, before joining Colorado Lending Source ("Why? Was it coming apart? ... boo boom"), Barbara enjoyed a long career at Analysts International where she worked in the fields of customer service, client relationships, IBM interactions, office management, administration and the analysis of many international things (which she is not permitted to talk about with anyone from Venezuela, or indeed anyone whose first name is Boris).
Long a fan of both kinds of music, "country" and "western", Barbara typifies many of those who embraced the resurgence of a more traditional country sound in the 1970's. A student of Charley Pride, Conway Twitty and other "Southern Country Rockers" such as The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band, David Allan Coe, and The Charlie Daniels Band, Barbara rode the wave that took country out of Nashville to a new, higher level that all could embrace and enjoy. Beyond the habitat of rough honky-tonks and Dolly Parton-esque beer joints, there existed a pure kind of country that simple Americans, like Barbara, with cow horns attached to the hood of their raised, long-bed F250 dually pick-ups, could honestly enjoy and relate to after a hard day analyzing things.
A champion line dancer, chicken-plucker, javelin thrower, tea spoon collector, banjo player, bipedal reptilian humanoid spotter (they are all around us, you know!) corn-shucker and Branson time share owner, Barbara's musical tastes naturally reflect her refined cultural upbringing. In addition to the 'artistes' mentioned above, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Riba McEntire and Yani all figure prominently in the selection of 8 track cassettes she locks in her diamond-pattern utility bed tool box, adorned with stickers (as is her wont) from numerous trips to all the important places one should go in one's lifetime (like Tulsa and Albuquerque).
