Diane Rhodes
Diane Rhodes, IT Manager
Diane is a 2008 addition to the professional staff of Colorado Lending Source and is the first individual ever charged with internal responsibility for all things "IT" (as opposed to Mr. T) at Colorado Lending Source, as the organization finally enters the technological age, with a raw and unbridled passion not seen since the Bronco's last won the World Series (or should that be the Super Bowl?).
Diane has a BS (Computer Science) from Metro State College in Denver and Masters of Science (Computer Science) from Colorado Technical University in Greenwood Village. She has worked in systems engineering, as a programmer, as an application support supervisor and as an applications development manager with and for several firms, both in Colorado and New York, before making the move to CLS. Along the way, Diane has developed an incredibly collection of acronyms that supplement her computer expertise. Ask her anything you like about Shell, Perl, Java, C#, C, C++, VB, VBA, Coldfusion, SQL, HTML, XML, PL/SQL, Java Script, Powerbuilder, Heat, Remedy, Tsunami or IIS, and all will be explained in such a fashion that even Mr. Spock would understand whatever it was that she was explaining.
Diane also enjoys collecting and raising insectivorous plants which, according to "Burke's Peerage" is a reasonably common hobby for people involved with the IT industry. More unusual is Diane's collection of garden hoes which the Smithsonian acknowledges as the finest amateur collection in the nation. Housed in a special clean room on the third floor of her carriage house, Diane has arranged in air-tight cases along all five walls, some of her finest specimens. Notable among these are: plow hoes; putter hoes; goose-neck hoes; winged weeders; grub hoes; Hollywood hoes (mostly made of brittle plastic); half-nelson hoes; collinear hoes (really sharp!); scuffle hoes; whiffle ball hoes; half moon hoes; rogue dog hoes; push hoes; Peter Pan hoes; stirrup hoes; ro-ho hoes; ho-ho-hoes; American standard hoes (from the Civil War era); go-go hoes; Speer and Jackson hoes (the #5 series, made from toughened tungsten steel); and, Santa hoes. The collection is available for inspection by appointment only but, please, no lingering and definitely no drooling.
Diane's musical interests include Zapp, Prince & The Revolution, Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Datarock, Kraftwerk, Glass Candy, White Denim, Blue Denim, Fleetwood Mac, Faded Denim, Not Really Denim, American Denim, Could be Denim, Denim Does Dallas and several other counter-culture bands (that may not be named on a family web site like this) from Texas that have their origins in the unwashed grunge genre so typical of the club scene in the panhandle during the mid '90's.
