Matt is a 2007 addition to the CLS staff, having graduated from Colorado State University in 2000 with a BS in Business Administration, a major in marketing and a minor in advanced plate tectonics. A keen student of the theory that supports the large scale motions of the Earth’s lithosphere (as opposed to those heathen proponents of continental drift), Matt found time to present academic papers on this subject while at CSU, also making the Dean’s list, being an active member of AMA, participating in a business fraternity and being a leadership member of FCA. After graduating, Matt joined the funds industry, insurance industry and most recently the banking industry as a relationship manager. He brings a wealth of experience to CLS, in addition to several passions. Stamp collecting (the art of Philately) is foremost among these and his collection of Canadian stamps is so exhaustive, it is even an embarrassment to the government of that country (who would really like all those old stamps back). Matt also has a passion for Hercules and Xena collectibles and his museum-quality collection includes action figures, card games, posters, books, t-shirts, plaques, photos, and a unique and highly prized Cyberaction's Collectible Electronic Multimedia Hercules and Xena trading card collection. A final passion is the workings (or not) of “Bollywood” and not a day goes by that you won’t catch Matt with a copy of either “People” or “US” under his arm. Matt’s particular expertise is Paris Hilton and will go toe-to-toe with anyone on Paris Hilton trivia (or PHTTT! for short). Matt’s musical taste is perhaps more sophisticated than many at CLS, ranging from Sanjaya Malakar through Brittany Spears, to Paris Hilton (naturally, and a natural born singer, of course), on to Rachel Stamp (another Philately soul mate) and finally to Marilyn Rucker (whose claim to fame is a song “If I could be like Xena”).
