Karol is a 2003 addition to the professional staff of Colorado Lending Source. A native of the wild and rugged northwest, Karol has a BS degree from CSU with concentrations in Finance, French Philosophy and Spanish literature from the pre-Renaissance period. Prior to joining CLS, Karol worked with the Evergreen CDC in Seattle, WA, where she avoided Starbucks and enjoyed long walks in the rain while debating (with anyone who would care to stop and converse) the merits of Renee Descartes’ original desire to apply mathematical methods and logarithmic principles to achieve perfect certainty in human knowledge as it relates to the approval and funding of SBA 504 loan packages during periods of increased seismic and sun spot activity. Potentially hours of intellectual discourse could be packed into a brief overview of this topic.
A graduate of the Broomfield Chamber’s Leadership Class of 2005 and one-time lumberjack, part-time limbo dancer and often-time collector of cool garden gnomes called Kevin, Karol additionally enjoys the great outdoors; running relay races across the ripe and rugged Rockies; designing, building & test flying ultra-light aircraft with very small but extremely powerful (and robust!) Rolls Royce jet engines; origami (especially those really tricky swans -- Karol has a black belt in origami too); box kite making; orienteering; map weaving; basket weaving; bo weevils (of the northern variety); mint juleps; and, long runs with her two dogs, three ferrets and sixteen aardvarks (all of whom are, coincidentally, called Kevin).
Karol’s musical tastes include Baby Bash, Baby Genius, Iggy Pop, 10,000 Maniacs, 20,000 Elephants, ZZ Top, Zig & Zag, Moby Dick and the Whalers, Cutie Pie, and, of course, the Goo Goo Dolls.
